Why I Bought These
The moment my kid started opening every cabinet in the kitchen, I knew we had a problem. Those old-school plastic strap locks? They looked terrible and my toddler figured them out in a week. How They Work
Dead simple: a magnetic latch installs inside the cabinet with adhesive (no drilling). When the cabinet is closed, the magnet engages the lock. You open it by holding the magnetic key against the outside of the cabinet door — the magnet releases the latch, and the door opens. No visible hardware on the outside. Your kitchen looks exactly the same.
Installation
Each lock took maybe 5 minutes to install. Clean the surface, peel the adhesive backing, press firmly, and wait 24 hours for full bond. The included template makes alignment easy. I did all our kitchen cabinets in about an hour — during one episode of whatever my kid was watching at the time.
Pro tip: the adhesive is strong. If you need to reposition, use a hair dryer to warm it up first. Ask me how I know.
Real-World Performance
